Salt Mine tour Krakow

If you feel like you have seen all the churches of Cracow and that you can't stand another day wandering about Main Square.... only about 10 km East of Krakow you'll find historic underground chambers, shafts and caverns decorated with sculptures and carvings. It's the only site in the world where mining has continued since the Middle Ages. In the old times mining and resultant excavations couldbe shownonly to members of the upper classes. Well, luckily the system in Wieliczka has became a little bit more democratic since then and we invite you to admire the magnificent chapel made out of salt, captivating underground lakes traces of mining works.
